Samurai (NAIA 3, Manila)

Yesterday was my flight going back home. My flight was still scheduled in the afternoon but I made sure to be at the airport before lunch to avoid rushing. Additionally, I wanted to be early so that I could lurk around the airport and find my favorite ramen restaurant, Ramen Nagi. But Iuck wasn't on my side, they weren't open. Since I was early, I went around the airport to find alternative places to have lunch. Since I was craving for ramen, I opted to dine at Samurai.

I ordered Spicy Seafood Ramen (269 php) since it's Good Friday and spicy is what I always prefer. When my order came, I immediately tried the broth. It was in need of flavor. Good thing that they had chili oil and chili powder - it improved and became more palatable. The noodles were firm but it somehow tasted generic unlike in other ramen restos that really made their noodles in-house. Anyway, I still slurped my way and consumed the whole thing. After finishing my meal, I then asked for the bill and was surprised (actually dismayed) that on top of the price, they charged a service fee... Well, it was somehow expected since everything are basically expensive at the airport but it got me thinking that I should've just taken my meal at Jollibee (Hahaha!). Voila! My total bill was 282.45 php and this made me regretful - I should've just eaten at Jollibee! With this, there wouldn't be a next time... for certain!!! As I always say, I'll charge this to experience. 🍜
