I don't know what got into me but I just felt the desire to ride. I braved the crazy weather and got soaking wet but the sense of adventure made me happy. My ride led me to one of the many new food spots that in the city - Dad's Gastro Park. Although, there are a lot of other food stalls that are equally enticing but Uno's was the place I sought for. I've read a lot of good reviews and this really piqued my curiosity - I knew I had to try it out myself. I excitedly ordered their popular smoked ribs and a bottle of local craft beer.
Upon receiving my order, what stood out for me was the fragrant smoky smell of the ribs. I got a piece of the meat and dipped it into their sauce - a burst of flavors made it very pleasant. The sweet, sour, and tangy sauce enveloping the well-seasoned meat was a welcome respite from the monotony of daily mundane meals.
I'm happy I tried the local craft beer - Isla Cerveza (Pineapple Ale). I was tempted to go with my usual favorites (Pale Pilsen, San Mig Light, Red Horse) only to be persuaded by my want to try something new. But in my opinion, there's something amiss that I couldn't really explain what it is. Hhhmmmm... Let's just say that if I'd be back to eat at Uno's, I'd prefer to have my usual favorites to accompany my meal - any of the three will do.
The Ribs order costs 189php while the Isla Cerveza is priced at 130php. Suffice to say, it was a good meal and I'll definitely be back to try the other orders and the other food stalls at Dad's Gastro Park.
