I was a witness of the humble beginnings of Bossing' Tempura. During my college years, his tempura was a staple to my daily snack choices. I would always go for the Level 5 sauce since I'm really into spicy food. I could even call myself a loyal 'suki' of his tempura stall. Sometimes, I would buy some for take-out and bring it back to the dormitory and have it as viand with some leftover rice. Everything was so simple back then. This was 13 years ago.

Fast forward to today, Bossing has become an icon of Dumaguete city. For tourists, visiting Dumaguete wouldn't be complete without having a taste of Bossing's Tempura. And since I was craving for the Level 5 sauce, I made sure to have my quick fix of spicy bliss.

Back then, one stick of Tempura was just 2.50php. Now, Tempura is priced at 5php, Squid Ball is at 5php, and Squid Roll is at 7php. I ate 8 pieces of Tempura, 4 pieces of Squid Roll, and 2 pieces of Squid Ball. I paid 78php for a very good deal of simple yet awesome food. Sorry, I couldn't take a picture of my food since I got a bit shy since there were a lot of students waiting for their orders too. Anyway, you got the idea.
Today, I walked down memory lane and I'm very happy I did. I hope you could all visit Bossing's Tempura if you're in Dumaguete. You can check Bossing's first and original location in Google Maps - Silliman Laguna area near Vermont Hall (formerly Silliman University Men's Dormitory).
